Part of fundraising is educating your audience on why charitable donations are necessary. At private schools, in particular, many people don’t realize that tuition doesn’t actually cover the full cost of operating the school. That’s why private schools have charitable giving opportunities, including the annual fund. Milken’s advancement office was struggling to get donors to contribute, so we developed a whiteboard explainer video series to showcase the importance of annual fund giving and expenses that are supported by these monies. We also wanted to emphasize that participation at any level was also vital to the success of the annual fund campaign. Together, these videos had a 40% ROI and Milken successfully reached its annual fund goal well before the end of the school’s fiscal year.
